Changing Accommodation Habits

Changing Accommodation Habits

Change can be hard but it can also be very powerful.  There are many sayings that conflict with this theory but if evolution is anything to go by then we all need to be adapting and changing to embrace new ways to live our lives.  This is particularly important in our working life too.  Having a healthy work/life balance can be a challenge.  Employers are realising the need to look out for their employees wellbeing.  This includes their mental heath as well as their physical health.

Change your accommodation habits and find a corporate break

To achieve all of these things a change will be inevitable.  This needs to be justified as change itself can be costly and time consuming to set up.  These costs need to be validated by the change being a strong enough incentive to proceed and work though the initial hurdles.

If it is your job to implement this change you will need assistance to ensure you are taken seriously and that the change is of benefit for many reasons longer term.

This assistance might be having all the statistics and evidence to hand that shows this is the correct way to move.  It might just be being able to show a cost saving, time or efficiency saving or other measurable impact.

Improved wellbeing of an employee on a corporate break

Measuring wellbeing is a harder nut to crack! Feedback from your employee and a long term reduction in sick leave and staff turnover can take some time to show on the balance sheets but if you are committed to a more sustainable future for your business then these are areas where you can make a huge difference with a change in accommodation choice.

If a team or team member is able to relax, take time to switch off and enjoy a business trip they are more likely to be keen to repeat them.  That might mean more successful meetings are completed or more productive work from your contractors.

A great way of changing accommodation habits is to swap your usual hotel room for a rural apartment, lodge or cottage.  Find an alternative to a hotel and enjoy better views, more space and a more relaxing experience.
